MSAE provides opportunities for association professionals to expand their networks, grow professionally and stay up to date and informed on trends and need to know data.

 Learning by Association

Breakfast with the Experts - MSAE's monthly programs focused on key topics to benefit the association professional.  These programs are held during the morning and include breakfast and presentation. Members are encouraged to share their own stories and expertise.

Women's Leadership Connection - MSAE's women's leadership connection is a facilitated leadership discussion and lunch geared towards the female association professional.  All luncheons and meetings are held at the MSAE offices. Space is limited.

Symposiums - These full-day extended programs are designed to meet associations professionals needs and increase their knowledge on industry topics.  MSAE offers symposiums on the following subjects: Association 101, Association 201, CEO Workshops, Legal & Financial Fair and Speakers Showcase Event.

Annual Meeting & Expo - This is MSAE's largest event of the year, the one you can't miss!  MSAE's Annual Meeting & Expo provides association professionals the opportuntiy to participate in educational sessions, attend the Awards of Excellence luncheon and visit 100+ exhibits - all designed to help you advance your association.

Fall Leadership Conference - A 3-day, 2-night event designed to improve the association professionals performance by increasing leadership skills, while offering many opportunities to network with peers.Hear speakers you might use and experience a property as a possible venue for your own association meetings.

CAE Study Groups - MSAE wants our members to excel!  For those of you who have made the commitment to excellence in association management, career advancement and an ongoing pursuit of knowledge, MSAE is here to help.  If you are interested in sitting for the CAE exam, let MSAE know and we will help you with resources, test prep and arranging a study group.

Peer Connection - New in 2009, MSAE introduced a new mentoring program to "Link Members for the Future".  This program takes veteran members and pairs them with new members to create a connection. This progam allows new members to make the most of their membership in MSAE.

Idea Exchange - MSAE's own online discussion groups.  Don't be bogged down by emails, log on to MSAE's idea exchange and post a question and get immediate answers.  The next time you have a question - ask your peers.  They have been there, done that and are willing to help.

Committees - MSAE committees are organized to accomplish work based on goals and objectives established by the MSAE board - while having fun!  If you would like to participate and have a hands on role in one of MSAE's event consider joining one of these committees: Fall Leadership Conference, Holiday Celebration, Golf Tournament, Awards Judging, Annual Meeting & Expo, Membership, Volunteer Service Awards and Speakers Showcase.

Networking Groups - Special interest groups comprised of MSAE members.  MSAE networking groups are designed by members for members to meet specific needs of a particular area in association management.  Meetings allow members to share expertise and knowledge with other members.  Think about participating in one of these networking groups: Communications, Membership, Meeting Management, Senior Staff, CEO, Allied and Young Professionals.

 Knowledge by Association

Association FOCUS Newsletter - MSAE's official publication for the association professional.  The FOCUS newsletter highlights current trends, industry news and keeps you connected to all of the latest MSAE news. 

E-News & Views Online Newsletter - The sister publication to MSAE's newsletter.  MSAE's E-news is sent once and month and features upcoming events, member announcements, hot topics and important articles.  This is designed for the busy professional who wants a shortened version of the FOCUS newsletter.

Association Resource Center - As a member you are eligible to access our resource center with association articles, past webinars, podcasts and other association resources.  You may also check out one of MSAE's many association related library books.  For all those questions and tips you need, this is the place to go!

Career Center - One of the most visited and popular benefits MSAE offers is our career center. Whether you are looking for a job or looking to hire someone use MSAE's resource as your guide.

Salary Survey - Published every three years, MSAE's salary survey is a compilation of the industry's compensation and benefits survey results.  Participate in this important association resource and order a copy today. You will need the comparison data as you prepare the new 990 form.

Annual Technology & Facilities Resource Guide - For all of your supplier, vendor, products and service needs - MSAE's Annual Resource Guide has editorial content as well as listings for all of your association resources from technology to meeting facilities.

Annual Membership Directory - Rated among the top membership benefits is MSAE's membership directory.  Enjoy this benefit that includes individual listings, association listings, profile information, resource guide, meeting facilities, speakers & entertainers as well as MSAE information.  Its the one directory you will want to have on your desk!

   Power of Association

Awards of Excellence - MSAE's Awards of Excellence are designed to recognize association activities and programs that are making a difference within associations, communities or both.  Awards winners are recognized at MSAE's Annual Meeting & Expo. 

Volunteer Service Awards - Have you been a super volunteer?  Have you participated or chaired a committee?  Moderated, spoke or helped at an event?  Have you done great things for MSAE?  If so, you are someone who should be nominated for a service award!  Award winners are recognized at MSAE's Fall Leadership Conference. 

Scholarships - Each year, MSAE provides members with two scholarship opportunities. The Professional Improvement Award (PIA) is for associations who cannot afford to cover the full cost at an MSAE conference or convention. The Institute Scholarship is presented for organization management.  Institute is a professional educational program for associations and Chamber of Commerce executives.

Golf Tournament - Held each summer, MSAE's Annual Golf Classic is a day of fun in the sun.  Being a good golfer is not a requirement at this tournament.  This is a great networking opportunity as well as a chance to win great prizes and support MSAE's education fundraiser.

Holiday Celebration & Silent Auction - A social event where you can enjoy the holiday atmosphere and purchase fabulous silent auction donations - not to mention visit with old friends while making new ones!  Proceeds from the silent auction fund the MSAE Scholarship Program.  MSAE also accepts donations for our Chairman's Charity of the Year.

Group Purchasing & Affinity Programs - MSAE has formed partnerships with professional companies that provide a benefit to MSAE members as well as providing associations and vendors the opportunity to offer these cost saving and revenue generating programs to their own members.
