2010 Award Winners
When are Americans at their best? When are we most likely to find the creativity, the new ideas, and the leadership we need to advance - as individuals, businesses, communities, and a nation? America's associations know when. It's when we come together, when we share knowledge and information, and when we chart a course for innovation, excellence, and growth.
Success by association has been a guiding principle in American culture and commerce since Revolutionary times. As a nation, we learned early on that we could achieve great things by joining with others. By association.
The MSAE Awards of Excellence are designed to recognize association activities and programs that are making a difference both within associations, the communities or both.
Associations Make a Difference by:
• promoting continuous learning
• creating knowledge
• fostering business and social innovation
• promoting and rewarding standards of excellence
• bringing people together in affiliation and common purpose
• improving society & community through volunteerism and generosity
Chances are, your association is already a leader. This is the opportunity for you and your association or business to be recognized for these activities.
Awards programs are divided into three categories:
1. Awards of Excellence in Public Service
To recognize and pay tribute to associations and other member companies that have achieved outstanding results operating or supporting a program for the benefit of the community or society.
2. Awards of Association Excellence
To recognize outstanding achievement in innovation in association management.
3. Awards of Communication Excellence
To recognize excellence in communication strategy and/or design.
Judging
Award judging is completed by a volunteer group of MSAE members who select winners based on criteria established by MSAE. The top three winners from each budget division will be selected as award recipients and recognized at MSAE's Annual Meeting. Winners will not be notified in advance. Each budget division will have one highlighted winner the judges feel did an exception job. MSAE reserves the right to have an honorable mention winner in each category shall it be deemed necessary.
Award Entries/Recipients
MSAE will provide a $10 coupon for up to 2 people to be used during the awards program to those who submitted an awards entry. Winning entries will be displayed during MSAE's Annual Meeting & EXPO. Winners will receive an official winning photograph, award ribbon as well as a plaque for their efforts. Awards winners will be recognized in MSAE's monthly newsletter, Association Focus. A press release will also be posted, sent out and winners can request a copy.
